Had a blast at qcTWiST! Let’s do one next month?

So qcTWiST was a pretty good success!  Our winning pitcher (who happened to be me, but that’s besides the point) wasn’t able to pitch, but Lon says they want to get those of us who didn’t make it on to pitch on a future TWiST show, so that’s pretty awesome.

Brett Neese premiered his preliminary idea for Project coEL, a revolution in education material distribution and consumption.  Big dreams for a 17-year-old high school senior, but all in all a very cool project.

Also Arron Lorenz, who made our fine qcTWiST poster, pitched his small business administration project Idle Partner.  I can’t wait to see what happens with this.  It has the opportunity to take the pain out of nearly every small business.

Hopefully you’ll get to hear about Streamulous from me in a future TWiST episode.  Until then, clear Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 9:30 on from your calendar.  We’re going to be meeting at the QC Co-Lab this time, and are hoping to hear some new pitches, plus get an update on those that pitched today.  Go ahead and hit the Meetups widget on the right and sign up!

Totally stoked for @qcTWiST!

So we have a total of three pitches for qcTWiST, which, for a 400,000 person metro area could be a lot worse.  I’m hoping that next time we get more pitches.  But it just goes to show you that the Midwest US, like the rest of the states, is ready to take the recession by the horns and make a difference in our lives.

One of the guys pitching on Tuesday, Arron Lorenz (@arronlorenz on Twitter) was so enthused about qcTWiST that he had a poster made for us.

I’m pretty enthused to see this kind of excitement from our one of our pitchers.  It’s a perfect example of the midwestern can do, stick together attitude that can make us exceptionally valuable as entrepreneurs.  Can’t wait to find out what the rest of the world has to offer!

What are you bringing to TWiST Quad Cities?

I’ve only had the opportunity to speak with one individual who’s talking of exhibiting at @qcTWiST on Tuesday.  And he’s not even an adult yet.  But boy this young man’s got big dreams, and when Brett Neese (@brneese on Twitter) tells you about it, I can expect big things from his dream.

I know I’m (Cody Wilson, @belthesar on Twitter) rather passionate about what I’m wanting to bring to the world.

So how about you… what are you going to bring to @qcTWiST?
